Our State-certified SmartStart™ Program emphasizes the "standards of excellence" necessary to prepare students for safe driving and living. Instructional time devoted to this phase of the program is 32 hours, taught in (16) two-hour sessions by teachers who are both professional and knowledgeable. Instructional content is delivered using: interactive discussions, hands-on critical thinking activities, lectures, video and Powerpoint presentations. All material is followed up with quizzes and exams so students are expected to ask questions, participate in activities and take notes.
note: - Successful students must maintain a minimum grade of at least 70% - No more than 5 missed classes (10 hours) are permitted. (make-ups required)
